Everybody Knows About MVC…

From a recent blog, you may have gathered that I’ve recently been conducting some interviews and as they were for web application developers a question I asked was “can you explain what the MVC pattern is?”, and to their credit, every candidate knew the answer. For those of you who don’t know, MVC stands for Model, View, Controller and is a design pattern used to separate the business, data and presentation logic of an application into discreet components. There are many definitions on the web of the MVC pattern’s components, so at the risk of confusing things even more, here are mine:
