Hi,
Any error message reporting by your users? This might help in order to found a possible solution. On the other hand, is the publication placed in a non writable folder? I think you can get problems if place your database along with the publication in the Program Files folder, for example, and to much on Windows 7.
Ok. You try to read the database, not to write it, but, maybe it’s needed to open the database in a "writeable" mode (I don’t know) and with this cause can fail. To test this maybe you can tell the users who report the problem that run the application "as an admin". If the problem dissapear, you can try to place the database file in another location, like the User Documents folder.
